Agnikul
Founded in 2017 by Srinath Ravichandran, Moin S.P.M., and Professor S.R. Chakravarthy, from IIT Madras; Agnikul aims to provide dedicated and fully customizable launch vehicles for small payloads. Agnikul is building India’s first private small satellite rocket, Agnibaan, that will be capable of carrying up to 100 kg of payload to low Earth orbits up to 700 km. The vehicle has the capability for a plug-and-play engine configuration that is configurable to match the mission’s needs precisely.
Background
We are pleased to announce that our client, Chennai based space-tech company, Agnikul Cosmos (‘Agnikul’) has raised its Series B funding from Celesta Capital and other investors.
Agnikul is building a dedicated and fully customizable launch vehicle for small satellites. The company has already fired its 3D-printed rocket engine and is in talks with global customers for their small satellite launch solutions. The fund raise will provide the company with significant capital towards its first commercial launches, team expansion and building launch infrastructure.
Veda Corporate Advisors (‘VedaCorp’) was the financial advisor to Agnikul and assisted the company in onboarding Celesta Capital as a lead investor in this round.
